About
I'm Onur, a Berlin-based multilingual DTP and document accessibility specialist with over 20 years in the localization production industry. Since 2004 I've prepared production-ready files for agencies and publishers across Germany, Turkey, Austria, Italy, the UK, Switzerland, and the USA. My core work is accessible document production: WCAG and PDF/UA informed remediation with careful attention to logical structure, reading order, tag trees, and screen-reader usability. I handle alt text for meaningful images, artifacting of decorative content, and accessible layout built correctly in InDesign from the start rather than patched afterward. Alongside accessibility, I provide multilingual DTP and typesetting in Adobe InDesign, IDML alignment and layout recovery, and file preparation for translation. As a working EN⇄TR translator and proofreader, I also bring a linguistic eye to layout QA, which means catching the issues that surface only after text is placed. I'm an associate member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting.
